About Charles Sturge:

Charles is an editorial photographer based in London, he was top 6 in the Sunday Times Ian Parry Award for Photojournalism, his work as a photojournalist has taken him around the world meeting many amazing people and resulting in many publications including three features in the Telegraph (text by journalist Tarquin Cooper) and one in the Geographical about the Kota Mama Expedition led by the legendary explorer Colonel John Blashford Snell, . Charles also filmed the expedition, which later became part of an adventure series for National Geographic produced by Endamol. This in turn led to Charles becoming associate produced for a second National Geographic series.

With a commission from The New York Times (7/7 bombing), regular assignments from the Daily Telegraph, feature publications in The Times on Abbey Road Studios (an eight month assignment with EPL Pictures taking Charles as far as Hollywood), a second feature in The Times on Namibia and syndication through Rex Features Charles’s images always hope to portray a true and telling story.

Exhibits include the museum of London, The National Photographic Exhibition, Namibian High Commission, a Private Viewing and EMI’s Abby Road Studios.

His skill as an editorial photographer has lead to him being commissioned for both very large and smaller-scale commercial assignments. GSM Association recently commissioned him to travel the Globe to produce several features on the digital divide.
